Just Us Girls #400 - Word Week

Hi everyone!  Today is a very special day...it's the 400th Just Us Girls challenge!  I cannot believe it!  We started this challenge way back in October of 2009, and myself and Maria are the only two original designers on the team.  We've had some amazing designers come and go, and the team we have now is just as amazing.

We are, however, losing one of our designers.  Chris Dring has decided to step down.  We wish her lots of luck in her future endeavors.

We have a new designer to fill the void Chris is leaving.  Please welcome Angie Cimbalo!
We are so pleased to have her join our team.

So on to the challenge.  Since it's our 400th, we decided to choose "celebrate" as our word.

I just got this new stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and decided to use these popsicles as the background.  Each row was stamped using the MISTI and painstakingly colored with Zig markers in rainbow colors.  Once I had that done, I had to decide what to do with that panel!  I settled on this die from MFT (retired?) die cut from black cardstock and then the sentiment was stamped in Versamark and embossed underneath it.  I added some shimmer and glossy accents to some of the popsicles.  Sequins finished it off.

Because we are celebrating, we have a couple of prizes from two generous sponsors.

Our Sponsors are:
Random winner: [1 choice of a stamp set, and 1 ink pad]
and

[The Chic of this Week will win a $15 gift certificate AND, 1 random winner has their choice of a 4x6 stamp set, or 2 [in-stock] 3x5 stamp sets.]

A huge Thank you to both these companies!!

Hope to see you playing along with Just Us Girls!  Thanks for stopping by!

AWESOME! Those popsicles look amazing. I can imagine how time consuming it was to colour them and what a beautiful job you did. Just love the whole layout.

Oh my goodness, this card is amazing. What a lot of work to color all those Popsicles!!!! I LOVE this so much. The bright colors are gorgeous. And I had no idea that you and Maria are the only originals left, 8 years is a long time. So happy to be a part of this amazing group!!

That's a lot of little coloring on those Popsicles, Lisa, but so worth it. That panel is so cute and colorful and the sentiment cut works beautifully with it.
