Time Out Challenge #59 - Theme (with a Twist)

Hi friends!  The new challenge over at Time Out is our Theme challenge with an optional twist.  This time, the theme is masculine and the optional twist is to use mixed media.  We are defining mixed media as stamps and ink plus two other elements that add texture and/or dimension.

I think this card can be either masculine or feminine. I guess it depends on whom you are sending it to.  I made this for my bff Maria who got her first hole-in-one last week while we were out golfing!  It was so exciting to see!  Anyway, I pulled out this golf martini stamp and stamped it on a tag then colored it with copic markers.  I added some texture with a stencil and texture paste on the gray panel (it may look orchid, but really is gray).  The word die was cut from black cardstock as well as black fun foam for dimension.  I put some Wink of Stella on it for some sparkle and added baker's twine on the tag.  I guess with the ink, copics, texture paste, and fun foam, I'm twisting!

Here's a picture of Maria after her hole-in-one!

We are sponsored by STAMPlorations for this challenge.  They are giving a $10 gift voucher for the winner plus a random draw for those who twist (prize one ARTploration stencil).

You can see more inspiration from our DT and guest, Patti, on the Time Out blog.

Thanks for stopping by!

Well done to Maria! This is such a cool mixed media card. I love the background with the textured base, it is perfect for a golfing card as it looks like lots of golf balls!
